About Connections

Connections is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization that has been providing community-based health care, housing, and employment opportunities in Delaware since 1985. These services help individuals and families achieve their own goals and enhance our communities. Through our housing, employment, and treatment programs, we will serve more than 35,000 men, women, and children this year in more than 100 locations throughout Delaware, including New Castle, Kent, and Sussex Counties. The services we provide are available to anyone in Delaware who needs them, regardless of where they live, the extent of their problems, or their ability to pay.

What We Do

Connections is one of Delaware's largest and comprehensive not-for-profit organizations providing housing; mental health services; outpatient substance abuse treatment; opioid replacement therapy; primary medical care; DUI treatment; community-based and home-based case management; supportive services for Veteran families; comprehensive withdrawal management (including both residential and outpatient components); mobile dental services; employment services; and primary and behavioral health care in the state’s correctional facilities. Connections’ programs are accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). CARF accreditation guarantees that our programs have passed an in-depth review, which takes place every three years to ensure continued compliance and exceptional treatment services to the individuals we serve.

How We Work

Our staff of over 1,400 employees includes physicians, psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and other professionals and paraprofessionals working in Wilmington, Newark, Smyrna, Dover, Harrington, Seaford, and Millsboro.
